Most popular local beers in restaurants and bars are Chang, Singha, Leo, Tiger, Heineken. Others available in supermarkets, mini markets and 711s. Smirnoff available in restaurants, bars and supermarkets etc.

Smirnoff is available and beers will be Singha, Chang and less likely Leo, Tiger and Heineken.

If you want Smirnoff you should specify otherwise if you just ask for 'vodka' you will likely receive a local brand, especially so in the case of cocktails.

Many bars in Thailand also sell Asahi beer so I guess this will be available in Khao Lak.

Most bars have Singha, and Chang. Others may also have Leo , Tiger and Heineken. If you go to a 7 Eleven you can buy all these as well as a cheaper one called Archa and sometimes the Japanese one Asahi. Some bars have ladies promoting a certain beer on their minidress or T shirt and they will try to encourage customers to drink their brand instead of one of the others. Vodka and other spirits are available from bars in tourist areas. In areas with only Thai people the spirits served are usually Thai spirits such as Sangsom or Regency. If going to very cheap local places you may also come across homemade spirits such as Lao Khao ( a clear one) and Yadong ( usually red with herbs in it).These are extremely strong so be careful.

Oh ......YADONG ...... I think thats what Khun Nop gave me at his restaurant(Sun Ray) when he was located in Kuk Khak village.

Sure is strong gear, BEWARE, LOL!
