Staying at Sheraton Senggigi at the end of the month and concerned about tsunami risk. Are there areas of the island at a higher risk?

I have been looking for info about Senggigi as I am staying at Senggigi next week. then I found tweet that almost every hotel in Sunggigi was closed with damages.

I decided to cancel reservation..

at first I recommend you to inquire Sheraton about damage level.

It is probable that you will have to cancel because of the damage caused by the earthquake.

However, don't be overly afraid of tsunamis. Yes, there is always a small risk for tsunamis at every coast worldwide, and Indonesia has a slightly higher risk because the area is always geologically active. However, there is currently NO elevated tsunami risk associated with the earthquake or possible aftershakes.
