Varanasi to Agra Train

Taking Howrah Delhi Kalka Mail train from Varanassi to Tundla . Traveling in the day.. Air con First Sleeper Carriage-shared cabin.

Are the carriages fairly comfortable, I know it will not be the first class Cabin like the UK? Toilets westernised?

Has anyone travelled this route, your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

Kalka mail is a good train and have westernized Toilets even though in bottom classes so western toilets are no issue in any Indian Train. If you are traveling in 1st A/C class it would be quite comfortable but can't match with European trains.

As this train runs very early in morning from Mughal Sarai which is approx 25 KMs from Varanasi city at least you have to leave hotel 01-30 Hours before to catch this train.

I would suggest you to use an overnight train instead of day train.
