TGS tours

We just returned from a 2 weeks tour in India with our kids (9 and 6) which was organized by Nikhil and his team.

I found TGS through this forum only a week before the trip, Nikhil although going on a vacation himself was available for any question I had and always responded immediately and kept being transparent about the costs and his own commission leaving me a choice on whether I wanted to book on my own or use his services.

When we got to India we were taken from the airport by a nice driver named Ajmer and later on had an internal flight after which we met Ram our driver for the rest of the trip.

Ram provided us a great service, always giving us the feeling that we are the most important thing for him and willing to go wherever and whenever we wanted. When we complained that car is not sealed and some rain was getting in, it was replaced the next day.

During our entire stay Krishna from TGS and Nikhil's wife called us and made sure that everything is to our satisfaction.

We highly recommend both TGS to anyone planning a trip to Rajasthan.

We visited Rajasthan in January and Nikhil at TGS did a brilliant job in organising a really great tour for myself and my husband. The hotels were all great and our driver, Mr Ram, was a real gem. Nikhil was also very helpful in advising us re the monetary restrictions when we were in India and generally keeping in touch. Can highly recommend. Yvonne & Kevin

My wife and I were invited to a wedding in Jodhpur so we decided to make a whole vacation of it. Having never been to India, we needed some insight as to what to do and where to go. We knew we wanted to go to the Taj Mahal, but that was about it. Luckily, we were introduced to Nikhil. He set us up from the time we arrived to the time we left. Pick ups and drop offs at the airports, train stations and hotels. All completely seemless. He also set us up with the most wonderful and knowledgeable tour guides. The driver and guide were always on time and totally willing to do whatever else outside our itinerary we threw at them. We visited Delhi, Agra, Jodhpur and Jaipur, and packed in a ton of things to see at each place. We really felt like we experienced India! Thanks to Nikhil, our trip was a joy from start to finish and we can't thank him enough for everything he did for us. When we get back to India, he is the only guy we're working with for tours and drivers and general knowledge. What a professional! Thanks again, Nikhil!

My husband and I have recently returned from an 8 day trip to Rajasthan. We had an amazing trip with our accommodation (a mixture of homestay, modern and heritage hotels, and haveli ) and our excellent driver Vinnay booked by Nikhil from tgs. Nikhil gave us an itinerary based on what we wanted to do, and we were able to adapt that day by day as we wished. We had contact by phone every other day, although there were never any issues to discuss! We were very pleased to meet Nikhil in Jaipur on our last evening.

Highlights in addition to the historical buildings and places were the Salaam Balaak Trust walk in Delhi, cycling tours in Agra and Jaipur, and a day with a naturalist in Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary. All highly recommended!

Many thanks Nikhil for our wonderful holiday, we hope to return soon.

I have just returned from almost two weeks for Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur organized by Nikhil and his team.

The trip was perfect. Nikhil took care of every detail from the moment we walked off the plane in Delhi until we got back on the plane two weeks later. I cannot imagine having done the trip without him.

My wife and I took the most marvelous trip to Rajasthan with TGS Tours in November of 2017

Here's some feedback about our great trip.

I’m still so moved by the trip and so far every day still finds me thinking back to many, many special moments of the visit. This trip definitely has affected my worldview. India is a wonderful, amazing country that everyone should visit!

Nikhil, the trip itself was wonderful as well. You know, you never know how things will be until the trip is finished and, looking back over the time in India, everything went so smoothly.

With your help, our choices of hotels was great. The only one we didn’t care for too much was the ITC in Agra. The staff were pushing to us to write good things about them on Trip Advisor. A bit annoying. Other than that one, all the hotels were fantastic.

The guides were all had different backgrounds yet were equally knowledgeable and helpful at every step of our trip. This made each city very interesting. Each came from a different point of view and aspect. They ALL knew their cities and the history very well. We didn’t want so just SEE India we wanted to EXPERIENCE it! And the guides you choose were very good.

Pushkar Camel fair: This was a highlight for me. I wanted to go to this fair for about 30 years! Finally made it. Very crowded though and yet the crowd always moved at a slow, measured pace. We stayed at the Westin and although new and with a few rough edges, they were very professional and willing to help at all times.

The drivers we had were safe, very steady and confident. We felt very safe with him the whole time.

Udaipur. The Leela Palace is a super hotel. The hotel cultural performance there was very good. City Fort was wonderful.

Then on to the Fort and Jain temple. We had a VERY long drive that day and stopped overnight at Ranakpur.

So, the Rawla Narlia is VERY recommended! The Step Well dinner was totally magical! Every guest MUST do that! That was by far a highlight of the whole trip! All those candles and the Holy Man was mesmerizing! We were so moved by his singing! We recorded him singing and love to listen to it! That was such a great experience!

Then off to the Ajit Bhawan in Jodhpur. Our guide really passed on his wisdom and knowledge about his city. The villages were great too. We got some rugs and the people in the villages were very polite and kind. Very impressive.

Jaisalmer was also magical! The architecture was unbelievable. Maybe not so many people go out there since it’s so far west but WELL worth it! We really liked the city and the intricate stone carving on all the buildings. A real highlight.

Then on to Jaipur. What a marvelous city! We know why you love it there so much! The Observatory was very interesting. The Rambagh Palace was the best hotel and we loved it. So professionally run. If you have a chance to meet the Assistant Restaurant Manager, Anand Tiwari, please do! He was excellent.

Then off to Agra. The Fort and Taj Mahal were as wonderful as I am sure everyone says. We went is the morning but not too early and had no crowd at all.

The flight to Amritsar was smooth and John our guide took us to the border. That was fun! Such wonderful patriotism!

In the evening our visit to the Golden temple to see the holy book being moved back to the Temple was very moving. The place is SO clean and the new pedestrian zone around the Golden Temple made walking there a pleasure. No motorcycles, Tuk tuks, and very clean as well.

Back to Delhi and did not realize there was so much to see.

All in all it was a great trip! And TGS made it so! Thanks so much Nikil for everything! TGS is THE BEST company to arrange for any trip in Rajasthan!
