I started planning our trip to India late last summer, it took me 4 months up until our departure for India (Feb 2010) to plan it out, with planes, trains & automobiles, plus a lot of Rickshaws & the odd camel here & there!!

I use Trip Advisor a lot when I plan my trips & i was fortunate to stumble upon Nikhil & his company whilst researching.

Never once did Nikhil tire of my constant emails, & when I wanted to change things (even when we were actually in India) he accommodated those changes without question, but always with good advice.

We started by discussing budgets for hotels & what we liked in a hotel & Nikhil came back with 2-3 suggestions per location, every single one of them was "good advice". Nikhil booked all our hotels in & around Rajhasthan & we were very happy with everywhere we stayed.

Even when I decided to cut out some or most of the driving & take the trains (only to then delete some trains whilst in India, as we tried to cram too much in) Nikhil never lost his patience.

If you are considering a trip to India, you absolutely must contact this guy, he is an invaluable asset to your sometimes daunting itinerary & he will be blatantly honest where necessary i.e if you are trying to cram too much in, or if you have too many days planned at a particular city, he will tell you.

He was even more than ready to advise me on hotels which I didn't book through him, a real special find in the minefield of an India trip

Thanks for making our India trip a lifetime memory Nikhil & hope to see you in Greek islands some day for a beer!

Hi,

It's really embarassing that I only make this review just now when I was supposed to do this in 2008.

My daughter got married to an Indian national in New Delhi in October of 2008 and had a huge wedding( 500 people) for three days. My daughter and her husband live in New York and had many guests traveling in to New Delhi to attend their wedding including our relatives from Manila.

I had booked TGS Jaipur <tgsjai@gmail.com> to collaborate with me three months before the wedding and I can tell you how Nikhil have been so patient with me because I kept changing dates and plans and how I kept calling him all the time. He had given me the best suggestions and had helped me organized everything. He took care of all of our guests who wanted to see the "Golden Triangle" and were so happy with the tour. They were so excited to tell me that TGS even treated them to a restaurant. (pls. don't expect this) Our guests came and went at different schedules and they were all more than satisfied. He is so proffessional, educated and spoke English so fluently and more than anything ,so proper.

His drivers and staff are very proper, honest and were punctual. The price that TGS quoted was more than reasonable. The innova cars we used were clean and not old.

I cannot thank TGS enough for taking care of us and how they made us feel so safe in India that we knew we were in good hands.

I highly recommend TGSjai and thank you Tripadvisor for this.

Hello All Travelers:

To all such 'nice reviews' here about TGS - I have a different experience with them. I have enquired with them about package tour cost.

After 10 days of email interaction and taking all information 'Nikhil Pandit' expects his customers say to him to book directly the hotels 'without quoting rates and package cost' - What is this kind of travel company? Never heard of such services - I dont know if I am paying in Rupess or $ and a penny or Millions?????????

This shows all reviews about him and this agency here is 'fake' and probably posted by their own members.

Guys - be aware of this malpractices & request to share with others too!

Happy Traveling!

Dear AshMatrix

We received a query from an ABJunior which I assume was you. We offered to give you a cost of your tour after booking the hotels you had short listed. The purpose of booking hotels was to get an accurate cost depending on category of rooms available.

We did advise you we need to book hotels, check categories of rooms available and get back to you with costs of each hotel.

However you refused to share your name with us even after several requests . We cannot book hotels if we do not have your name in which to make the bookings in.

We have not asked you for any payment and you were always welcome to cancel the arrangements if you did not find the offer made acceptable without any cancellation charges being levied to you. We were not going to charge you any cancellation or service fee for the effort we were going to put in on your behalf.

However we cannot work with anonymous clients. We had no choice but to tell you you should book your hotels yourself.

It is sad you that instead of appreciating what we had offered to do for you, you have even gone to the extent of denigrating the esteemed members of these forums like K_Yogi who has 4000 posts compared to your 8 posts half of which are to attack TGS

Sincerely regret any inconvenience caused

- Manjari Pandit

I have taken more than a month to write about about my outstanding experience of working with Nikhil. I came to know him through a common friend, wrote to him about my budget and places I and my wife wanted to visit. Nikhil prepared an itinerary, arranged for hotels, guides and transportation-- all were superb. The entire 4 day experience was excellent in environmentally friendly places with enough elements of surprise-- for example a delightful camel ride and a musical performance in a sand dunes hotel near Jodhpur. Even during our trip he kept track of our needs and made sure that all arrangements were to our satisfaction.

I shared my strong positive experience with my friend and, also Nikhil. With such a customer focused attitude I have no doubt that he will continue to achieve success due to following reasons:

a. Timely and effective handling of questions with excellent personal attention to details and complete answers

b. He sets example for his staff (guides and drivers) which is equally efficient and attentive

c. Ensuring (rather than taking for granted) customer satisfaction

We used TGS for an overnight trip from Delhi to Agra in December 2010. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Company to anyone. We have additional complications because my husband has diabetes and also cannot walk very far, but this was not a problem as Nikhil made sure the guide was aware of the difficulties as well as our driver. Nikhil personally checked in with us by phone each day to ensure our trip was going as planned. For anyone with any doubts do not worry, everything will be planned like clockwork!

We just returned home from a 2.5 week trip in India which was organized largely by Nikhil Pandit from TGS Tours. We fully subscribe to all the positive commentary previously made on this website. We were very happy with the service provided by TGS and highly recommend, without reserve, anybody contemplating a trip to Rajasthan, India to contact TGS . Their service is all-round excellent: personalized, high responsiveness, excellent drivers and tour guides, accurate and transparent costing, etc. TGS provides an honest, customer friendly and reliable service that surpassed our expectations significanty. Many thanks Nikhil!!!

I agree :)

Just got back from India. We used TGS tours for our ten day trip to Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan, with three young kids and my parents. I could not have pulled it off without TGS.

Nikhil Pandit was wonderful. He was very helpful and always checked back with us to make sure everything was satisfactory. The drivers he used were very safe and the cars were in great shape as well. The level of communication was great. All the hotels recommend by him were excellent.

When our over night train to Delhi got cancelled, the TGS people in the Jodhpur office did everything they could to make sure that we got back to Delhi on time for our flight out to Paris. When they could not find a car big enough to fit all of us they booked us on a very comfortable overnight bus and delivered the tickets to us. Instead of trying to take advantage of us when things do not go according to the paln, Nikhil and his team were awesome in helping us out.

I highly recommend Nikhil Pandit and TGS tours. I would not hesitate to use TGS again.
