I started planning our trip to India late last summer, it took me 4 months up until our departure for India (Feb 2010) to plan it out, with planes, trains & automobiles, plus a lot of Rickshaws & the odd camel here & there!!
I use Trip Advisor a lot when I plan my trips & i was fortunate to stumble upon Nikhil & his company whilst researching.
Never once did Nikhil tire of my constant emails, & when I wanted to change things (even when we were actually in India) he accommodated those changes without question, but always with good advice.
We started by discussing budgets for hotels & what we liked in a hotel & Nikhil came back with 2-3 suggestions per location, every single one of them was "good advice". Nikhil booked all our hotels in & around Rajhasthan & we were very happy with everywhere we stayed.
Even when I decided to cut out some or most of the driving & take the trains (only to then delete some trains whilst in India, as we tried to cram too much in) Nikhil never lost his patience.
If you are considering a trip to India, you absolutely must contact this guy, he is an invaluable asset to your sometimes daunting itinerary & he will be blatantly honest where necessary i.e if you are trying to cram too much in, or if you have too many days planned at a particular city, he will tell you.
He was even more than ready to advise me on hotels which I didn't book through him, a real special find in the minefield of an India trip
Thanks for making our India trip a lifetime memory Nikhil & hope to see you in Greek islands some day for a beer!
