I had my teeth whitened there and my partner had his teeth whitened plus some composite veneers. He was VERY impressed with his results....

The clinic itself is spotless, you have to take your shoes/flip flops off first. It's airconditioned too. You get a consultation first with Mr Pimenta and he'll go through the pricelist and what's best for you. He does tend to dwell on brand whitening stuff (as it's more expensive) but there's no real pressure.

If it's whitening you are getting he normally likes to do it when the sun is high so he can compare oustide with the light. I got mine done about 4pm - so just popped up after the beach. My partner was longer as he had more work done - he got his whitening done on the day of the consulatation then went back for his veneers a couple of days later...and we were only there for a week.

Costwise - good value for money - everyone noticed my teeth, they recommend not drinking coke etc or curries the night you get it done - but he'll explain all of this depending on your procedure.

If you want anymore advise just let me know.

My sister and I have seen him too and will be going again in December. We only needed check up and clean and polish so can't comment on any other treatment but our friend had a full set of dentures and was very pleased

Is that Dr Ambert in Calangute that goes under the name of Brite Smile. If so dont bother. On another forum read some reviews including my own. I had a complete nightmare there last year and so have many others. You dont get him you get his side kick who I can assure you is a trainee.

We have used Dr Sandra Mendonca in Mapusa for many years with no problems. My brother is halfway through having 7 dental implants done by her colleague who specialises in this work. He has had no problems since the initial work was done in february and he goes back in november for the implants to be put in.

Hi Dr Pimenta is a tourist dentist by that i mean that he only treats tourist he is not the only one. my advice is to go to a dentist who is there all the year round and not just for the tourist season these dentist are very very VERY expensive compared to the local dentist who can do the job just as well Dr Mendonca is just one who is highly thought of i go to one in Panjim a Dr Abhijit Sadekar ive had vaneers, crowns my wife also has had crowns and bridges all of excellent quality and about half price of the tourist dentist

All these reports on dentists in Goa seem incredibly good - are there any people who have had bad results and suffered afterwards and had work needing to be rectified in GB Or am I just a bit of a cynic?

Shassa

I had a nightmare last year, I went to have a partial denture made and the assistant glued it to my own teeth. It took an hour to drill it off and I was charged over double what he originally quoted and you can ignore the prices quoted on his website.

My mouth was sore as hell for a week after.

He also made the teether whiter than my own so I would have the teeth whitening to match the denture.

There is a good dentist in Candolim called Marigold, hubby had his crown done no probs.

I have spoke to a few of Dr Amberts customers and heard some right horror stories.

Hope this helps

I had 5 veneers done last year. Seems good at the time, but my gums bleed now and again.

My dentist here in the UK, said the work is not of quality.

He may be ok teeth whitening, but would not recommend for any other work.

He also has dentists in Candolim and Margao, or did have last season?
