I'm going on a 5 day tour of Northern India, followed by 11 days at the Dona Sylvia in late Feb. Can anyone advice which currency/travellers cheques are best? Been told dollars were good, but just read that they're no longer accepted at major sights due to fall in rate. Is it easy tochange travellers cheques in India/Goa? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

open a nationwide flex-account, business interest rates and no charge for withdrawls abroad. ATM machines aplenty.

Have never had any problems with sterling TCs either. It's easy to change them at hotels and banks but there are ATMs in most major towns as well.
