Travelled last year Birmingham to Goa in April and flight was good. Just returned having floen Thomsons Gatwick to Goa this year and found the leg room was better than last year. Had seats row 8 g and h going out and they were fine. Coming back had row 9 and not so good as view is a bit restricted in this window seat. Food was better this year although on Gatwick flight no seat back TV!!!!!

Went on this flight to Goa on 10th November.

The aircraft is a 2-4-2 configuaration so if you have seats in A-B or G-H you are in rows of 2.

They have upgraded there planes with extra legroom seats, leather chairs and seatback TV's.

On boarding the plane you will get a comfort pack (Your own blanket, eye mask, headphones) this is yours to keep and take with you as they dont supply on your return flight.

You can upgrade your tv package - extra films and stop start tv (like sky +) for £5pp each way, we upgraded on the way home as it was a day flight but did not see the point outbound as we slept later on in the flight.

On the whole a really good flight, the only downside was the inflight food.

Thomsonfly have teamed up with Aldo zildi and the standard of food was awful. I have a cast iron stomach and can eat almost anything but this food beat me !!!

Do yourself a favour and buy a boots meal deal sandwich prior to bording - you will be glad of it later on in the flight.

Another downside was the fact that Thomsons, Mytravel and Monarch all land in Goa within an hour of each other so the airport and visa immagtration hall is manic - we landed half an hour ahead of schedule and were in the immagration hall for almost 2hrs !!!

Just flown to/from Goa on the BHX flight 22nd Dec/6th Jan - we'd pre-booked seats for £10 each return so presume that's how others know their seat number.

We paid to upgrade and can honestly say it was well worth it (unlike an upgrade we did a few years ago with Monarch!)

The leg room was enormous, lots of aisle space so easy to get up & about to loo or just to stretch etc.

On the way out our meal was served course by course like in a restaurant which was great but on the return leg the starter, main & chesse was just delivered on it's usual tray together with just desert delivered later. The food (esp on way out) was v v good and free drinks unlimited & served willingly, with crew regularly coming round to ask if you wanted anything.

Our return leg was over 11 hours due to strong head winds so the extra space, entertainment etc was well worth it.
