can all you india experts please advise is it easy to change travellers cheques or is it easier to change american dollars and are atm s accesible, we are off to india soon touring rajastan for 6 days and staying at lagoa azul in little baga for 8 days.

You will get a better rate of exchange with sterling rather than dollars.You will also get the same rate of exchange on travellers cheques as you would for cash providing they are sterling travellers cheques. There are ATMS and money exchange in Delhi, Agra etc.Dont remember seeing any in some of the more isolated places we went to but its a few years ago now so it may have changed.

There are ATMS and money exchanges in Calangute which is a short taxi ride from Lagoa Azul.
