Any advice please!

Have been scouring the web for our 4th trip to Goa next Jan/Feb next year.Have been to Candolim 3 times 2000/2002 and 2009 so have seen a huge growth there!Looking to try the south and fancied Soa Domingos in Cavelossim but wanted the new block, but on top of the package its 2000rps on top a night,so for 3 weeks its a fair bit on top!

Any info on Martins Comfort in Betalalbatim,or would be helpful.

Other options would be returning to Candolim and we have seen Sunset beach guesthouse,or Lui beach. We stayed next to lui last time in the Don hill, which was awful even by Goa standards!!!Any info on these would be helpful. With flights around £600 packages are working out the cheapest option at the minute.

Any help appreciated,cheers.

Hi songbird.I'd recommend the Lui .We stayed there in November for 3 weeks. It's lovely small friendly hotel .It's just up the road from the Don Hill next door to the Alderia Santa Rita.We went on a package with Thomas Cooks airtours and paid roughly £1300 for the 2 of us for 3 weeks.Air con saftey deposit box and fridge were extra. Can't help with the Suset but lots of people have said it lovely.Barbs

Martin's Comfort is supposed to be very nice, but it is a bit isolated. Depends how quiet you want your holiday! It's about a 15 minute walk to the beach, but a taxi ride to most restaurants in the evening.

Thanks for the help,Goanjock did email sao domingos, but with flights plus accomadation, packages are still coming quiet a few quid cheaper.Have found Lui beach around the same cost as a flight for 3 weeks so we may just do that and make our way down south from there.Think Martins is going to be a bit out of the way,do like a bit of life near by.

Have you considered Octima's which is next door to Sao Domingos but considerably cheaper? Somebody recently reported that they are charging 1000rp a night next season which is much cheaper than the 2500 that it normally costs to stay at Casa de Cris or the new block at Sao Domingos.

I agree that the package prices for Sao Domingos (old block) are extremely good value. We could have stayed there for £84 each more than we're paying for our flight - and that includes the transfers!
