Floating Casino

Hi, we go to Goa for the first time on 17th January, staying in Candolim. Can anyone advise us about the floating casino? Sue

Hi Sue

We were invited (for free) with a party of about 120 people last year and personally found it boring

We board the boat after we had to change our sandals to covered toe flip flops (clogs) for security reasons ??

The boat then chugged out into the middle of the river and parked up for the night

The entertainment was by some Russian dancers on the open deck and it was freezing if you couldn't get out of the wind

The buffet was ok once you could find somewhere to sit but they run out of food and the boat had to go back about midnight to restock

The casino looked Ok but seemed to lack any atmosphere, after we had lost the money we had been given, we took the tender back to the shore about two thirty, collected our foot wear and deposit money

We decided that it was not worth the 1500 Rs a head it would have cost but perhaps we are a sad old couple.

Our idea of a good Saturday night out is bopping to "Herman Obreo" at the "Infantaria" Calangute with a bucket of 6 Fosters for a 100 Rs

Guess where we are going tonight
