Longest time needed will be when you arrive at Mumbai with the immigration etc,but nowadays this is no more than when you arrive at for instance Heathrow.
We tend to allow approx 4 hours between our LHR/BOM landing and the flight to Goa to take into consideration flight delays etc but this time everything was spot on time which ment that we could have caught an earlier flight meaning that one and a half hours would have been sufficient timee.
If you get to Goa airport threee hours before flight time that will be more than enough as by the looks of your schedule you will be on an internal flight so no formalities immigration etc.
We have timed our flights to leave Goa at 0810 arrive Mumbai 0910 depart Mumbai 1230. Sane timings that we try to keep each time incase of unfortunate delays.Has worked well for a number of journeys.
Although there was a 3 hour delay at Goa for Mumbai flights a week ago owing to a runway problem at Mumbai.
We also tend to use the same airline for the entire trip as then any problem is their problem and tends to get solved very quickly.
We´ll arrive in Mumbai around 7am, and continue to Goa only around 2.30pm, so there should be plenty of time then. We were planning to have something little to eat in the morning, but not take taxi to travel far (as it might take a while to get back if there's a traffic jam or something?!).
Unfortunately we are flying with 2 separate companies, but just have to keep fingers crossed for no delays etc.
After arriving at the Chattrapathi Shivaji International Airport we immediaqtely transfer to the Santa Cruz domestic airport and
In the lounge where we wait after having had our bags taken by Jet Air there are Recling Chairs. I believe that there are also more dotted around the airport so with luck you may be able to relax while waiting,
