Has anyone been to Egypt (sharm) on April and if so how hot is it ??.
And what's the best currency to take as going next year
weather is lovely this time of yr hot :)
we take sterling and just put money in atms and get out local currency, you cant seem to get small bills in egyptian for tipping , cabs etc so what we do is go to supermarket but something and get small change this way supermarkets are all over the place,
some people take us dollars, also euros and some people now days take the holiday credit card just top it up with the currency u want from thomas cook ( thats where we go ) and use that in the atm machines theres also plenty of atm's around u can also pay a bill with this card
hope this is of help to you
have a great trip ( your first time ? it will be first of many ) your be hooked xxx
Thanks for that x
It's really nice in April. Its hot but not too hot about 25-30 everyday with a nice breeze in the evening. I have always taken Egyptian Pounds and used them for tipping staff members with no problem.
Thanks Tabitha for the info
Are the pools warm enough to swim in in April or have they not really warmed up yet? I appreciate they'll not be really warm but won't be keen on the really icy edge that turns you blue after a few minutes! We did Cyprus this Easter and although the weather was lovely the pools were uncomfortably cold!
