Rolling Chairs vs. Boardwalk Tram

I sure wish they would bring back the Boardwalk Tram. It was nice for us "old folks' going up and down the boardwalk. The Rolling Chairs are expensive and the "gents" who push them, some are extremely rude, if you turn them down.

Does anyone here think that the Tram will ever come back on the boardwalk? And why was it stopped in the first place?

Thank You.... oldmom

Ahhh yes, the old Boardwalk Tram......there's some memories!

I personally have never had a rude Rolling Chair "pusher." They have always been nice and helpful to me. I've turned down plenty, none were ever rude then either. Guess it depends on who you are turning down.

I agree, the prices are outrageous. It's really just a novelty, I think. Not meant a means of constant transportation, like cabs or the jitney. I went from the Showboat to Bally's once, it was $15! That's a lot! Then a tip. Ugh.

Bringing back the tram would be great, but I don't think they will ever do it. I can see so many lawsuits and injuries occuring. I don't know for a fact, but maybe that's why it was discontinued.
