Making drinks in you hotel room at the Hard Rock...

We're heading to AC next week and have a few questions regarding making drinks in your hotel room and where you're allowed to drink alcohol. We are staying at the Hard Rock. Are you allowed to bring drinks from your hotel room and consume on the casino floor? Are drinks allowed on the beach? On the boardwalk? We are Vegas regulars where alcohol is allowed anywhere, so we want to be prepared if we need to be creative.

Thanks!

Drinking is not permitted by ordinance on the boardwalk or beach but rarely enforced if you're discreet and don't become obnoxious.

I agree, you can walk the boardwalk with a drink in hand. I often see people with beverages.

We will often be having a drink in our room and then decide to head to the casino and bring the drinks with us onto the floor. Not a problem. The drink sevice at Hard Rock is easy and quick, so ordering a drink from the machine works great too.

Enjoy your trip. We were there last week. It’s really nice. If you have a card from another casino, you should be able to get a tier match which includes free play. Check their web site. They also have a promotion, if you play for an hour you get a HR tee shirt.

Great information! Thank you! When you order drinks from the slot machine, is it free and then you tip?

If you have clear cups, rather than red cups, you'll be easily able to make a drink in your room and bring it onto the casino floor without anything being said. Or, if it's a beer, same thing - bottles better than cans in this instance.

On the boardwalk: There is support in AC to allow open beverages on the boardwalk, which is why current laws are generally unenforced. https:/… . In the actual law for Atlantic City, the fine for such is a paltry $54, which is basically a parking ticket. Still, be discreet about it - if you can, have an extra soda cup or two handy (Wawa soda cups work well) for your drinks.

On the beach, again, be discreet about it, and don't use bottles which can break and be harmful to feet in the sand.

Personally it would be nice to be more like the Vegas Strip in this regard and allow alcohol on the boardwalk, and AC is trying to go in that direction.

The drinks are free if you are on a machine. At HR and Caesar’s order right on the machine. Other casinos, servers roam about. Yes, please have a tip ready. Usually $1 a drinik, that includes water.

While the drinks are free...don't expect to get a double of Grey Goose. They're generally using rail (cheap) liquors in small cups.
