hotel too far away from the action?

I am a starwood member so thinking of staying at Le Méridien Angkor for $30 plus 1,600 points......but reading it seems its not in a good location? am i better off booking somewhere else?

Le Meridien is a tuk tuk ride from town (too far to walk) but it;s not really a problem, plenty of them around and should only cost you a couple of $$

Lots of other places around - check out the map on www.canbypublications.com

The little g/h we stay at is $30/night - has everything we need - a/c pool, great breakfasts, close to town ...(and I have no idea what 1600 points equates to dollar wise)

The Le meridiens is a nice hotel and only 5 mins by tuk tuk to pub street.tuk tuks are a cool way to travel,very relaxing.

I think I would be staying in the Le Meridian if it costs you only 30$US per night ; - )
