Satyrday brunch in October

My group of friends visited Dubai 2 years ago for my 50th birthday. New had a fantastic Saturday brunch at the Observatory.

We are visiting again in October for another friends 50th birthday. Unfortunately observatory don't do them on a Saturday now.

Can anyone advise on a similar quality Saturday brunch?

We dont want a particularly family one, nothing against kids but we are escaping from ours for the week, so would appreciate a more adult crowd.

We will also be able to go on a Friday brunch the week after and may need help with that too.

We did Saffron last time which was good but were looking for something different this time.

I notice some seem to be suspended for summer. Will any be on again by 2nd week October

Thanks for advice on either Saturday or Friday.

It's off season at present, so come September time many new brunches will launch and the old favourites will return.

As there will be lots of brunches looking to be promoted, there will be lots of offers around - so check Entertainer app (as you can get two for one) and Mr and Mrs Brunch's In brunch app (many discounts and reviews).

Saturday brunches tend to be more relaxed affairs, as Friday tends to be the main day. There's some decent ones at places like Address Montgomery (will need a taxi, as it's at a golf course) which focusses on a roast theme, so it's popular for those missing their Sunday Roast from back home.

It's also worth getting a copy of Time Out Dubai and Whats On magazines when you land, as they do thorough listings of all the brunches around.

Thank you.

I was hoping there would be more by October.

I have the entertainer app. I got it during Ramadan when it had a big discount.

And I just got mr and mrs brunch last night. Looks to have a good few. Even mid week ones which look great.

I guess im looking too early.

Just that we are getting a bit excited.

Thank you for your help.

We are staying in marina area so if anyone knows if any good brunches around there I would be greatful. But it's no bother to get a taxi to wherever.

What defines a good brunch to you?

* Buffet/self service or table served/menu?

* What type of cuisine? Mixed/International or one specific type?

* What vibe/theme? Party, sedate, chilled?

* Drinks - important or not?

Generally, the best Marina brunches are on a Friday. Some worth a pop include (in no order) ...

* Observatory - Marriott Harbour

* Marina Social - Intercontinental

* Toro Toro - Grosvenor House (most at GH are good though)

* Rossos - Amwaj Rotana

* Address at Marina Mall has a few, including Ruth and Chris steakhouse

* Grand Grill - Habtoor Grand

* Bubbalicious - Westin Mina Seyahi

* Zero Gravity and Candypants are more 'party brunches'

Thank you for all your replies.

We are a group if 6 in our late 40s early 50s.

Looking for a relaxed brunch with perhaps a DJ but not pool party type. But maybe a dance floor.

Food type or theme would be international. We don't want just one kind of food.

Drinks are important. House beverages are fine with perhaps some cocktails. We can order fizz on top if we decide.

We really enjoyed Observatory and Saffron last time.

So similar vibe would be what we are after.

I would also appreciate any advice on mid week evening buffets or drinks included meals. I see a few on Mr&Mrs Brunch app. Any favourites?

For Friday brunch, I'd consider Al Bahou at the Movenpick Batutta Gate. It's a stunning venue and the food is quite good. There are 3 Entertainer vouchers for this brunch, great value indeed.
