Windy Weather? Sigatoka - Viti Levu's Coral Coast FIJI

Hi, hope you can help!

We are thinking of staying a week at the Hideaway Resort Sigatoka in late September?

While I have found info on rainfall & temp, We'd really like to know about the wind factor in the area at this time of year. (Couldn't abide a lot of wind blowing sand all over us...yikes).

We are a family of 3 with our 11 year old daughter. We would like a fairly chilled out place, the bures with outdoor showers sound nice. Amazing snorkelling is top of our list + watrfalls, walks and nature. Some traditional entertainment, great food, well priced cocktails, a massage or two - ahhhh! A kids club too please - but No Gale Force winds. Heaven you may say :) Have you found it? Happy to take on board suggestions of similar places you have stayed at.Travelling from Sydney. Thankx

The south east trade winds are the prevaling winds between May and October. Unfortunately we can't predict what the weather will do.

Would think it should be ok as long as it is within the allowable amount you can take in to Fiji.
