March Weather in Montevideo - too cold to swim?

Hello,

I plan to visit Montevideo in March. Is it too cold to swim? If so I may try to buy a wetsuit. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your reply. I read that online but didn't really know if that meant it was too cold. We're landlocked where I live :).
