4-5 hour layover at Baltra airport

Will be arriving in the morning at around 9am and have to wait 5 hours till the next flight.

Have read an older thread which suggested: (1) Going to Puerto Ayora for a meal or (2) visiting the Chato tortise sanctuary or using the (3) airport lounge.

Wanted to ask if there are any new activities or a nice chill place to relax near the airport? I would have a suitcase/luggage with me.

There is literally nothing on Baltra except the airport. You take a few minute bus ride to a ferry, a 2 minute ferry ride, then get off and taxis are there to take you to Puerto Ayora or wherever. I wouldn’t be comfortable going all the way to town to get something to eat then doing all that in reverse. A tour with stops along the road, ending back where you started might be good, but for simplicity/minimal stress, I would probably just wait at the airport. Curious to see what others say.

The lounge is really nice at Baltra if you have access through your credit card. I spent over 2h there last month. It has some free refreshments and snacks, but it also a bar/tavern to get a real meal ($). I did not purchase any of their food since we just had breakfast on the boat, but I did try one of the local brews that they had on tap while I waited. Plus it also has an open air section to see a few last minute birds.
