We just recently returned from an 18 day trip to Ecuador and Peru. We usually plan our own trips and I was not necessarily comfortable putting all the arrangements in someone else's hands, but this trip was too involved to try to arrange by myself. After doing some research I decided I liked the trips offered by Voyagers Travel and began discussions with Francisco Vela. He couldn't have been more professional or more patient. Over the course of several weeks we changed our minds a dozen times and each time he made every effort to accommodate us. We finally settled on our trip plans and from there he made all the arrangements. Until the day we left home my husband wondered how smooth the trip would go. His concerns were groundless as each transition from destination to destination was seamless. From the moment we arrived in Quito to the moment we departed Lima we were personally escorted and guided with great expertise. Our trip was planned to meet our personal requests and it was outstanding. If it was our Quito city Guide Viviana Narvaez, our Amazon jungle naturalist Luis Espin or our Galapagos Island naturalist Greg, each was a wealth of information shared all the information with us we could absorb. They all went out of their way to insure we had a wonderful and educational time on their leg of our journey. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. At Francisco's recommendation we stayed at La Selva Lodge in the Ecuadorian Amazon, sailed on the catamaran Cormorant to the Galapagos Islands and stayed at Elsplendor Hotel in Cusco to tour Machu PIcchu. Each was unique and made our journey incredible. I can't say enough about how pleased we were with our trip plans and all accommodations. It was all outstanding and I would heartily recommend contacting Voyagers and Francisco Vela if you are considering a trip of this kind. This was a first class trip and Francisco made it perfect for us.
