do they still stamp passport at the airport? just wondering since at HK airport they just give out this little peice of paper
Yes they do. There’is als a bit of paper to which you have to surrender when you leave.
Normally you get a stamp when you enter Singapore and a second when you leave.
Though now there are automated gates passengers can use when leaving Singapore, so sometime no stamp out.
During my last trip I used the automated gates to leave Singapore so not stamp out. Once landed at Bangkok the immigration officer looked very confused too see the stamp in but no stamp out; so he requested my boarding pass SIN-BKK to double check.Edited: 06 August 2018, 22:40
And if you use the automated gates to leave, no one takes the departure card off you.Edited: 07 August 2018, 00:03
