Singapore Itinerary from Nov 5-9

Hello!

I would like to ask for suggestions for our Singapore Itinerary from Nov 5-9. Actually, its Nov 6-9 since we will arrive after midnight of Nov 5. We are a group of 5: 3 adults, 2 kids ages 11 and 7. We would definitely like to see Universal and will go to Lego Land and Hello Kitty Town.

Thank you very much for your replies.

Hi,

<<since we will arrive after midnight of Nov 5. >

So you will arrive early morning of Nov 6th?

Your itinerary should be straightforward.

One day for Universal.

For Legoland, are you going to the water park as well? You will need to spend at least 2 days one night in JB to include Hello Kitty Town.

You did not indicate what time is your return flight on the 9th, so not sure how much time you have on this day.

Legoland and Hello Kitty Town are in another country, albeit close by so will take out two days of the four you have, us have the hassle of cross border traffic. USS is the bulk of a third so if you leave on the 9th what you do there is dictated by flight times somewhat.

Thank you for your reply. Is the water included in the entrance?

So you have 4 days but the 6th will probably be a late start as you will be reaching your hotel after midnight and I guess you will not have a full day on the 9th , your departure day. Myself I would not waste time going over to Malaysia as it will eat into your very short timescale and could also be costly as there is 5 of you,

I, too, suggest a re-think since it appears you're still somewhat uninformed about what you're committing to.

Legoland & Hello Kitty Town aren't in Singapore, so you'll have to set aside travel time to visit them.

Legoland has a theme park & a waterpark; they're separately ticketed but you can also buy combo tickets. Your kids are probably too old for the theme park, but will like the waterpark. Then again, Singapore also has ticketed waterparks (Adventure Cove, Wild Wild Wet, WaveHouse Sentosa, Splash-N-Surf, Splash@Kidz Amaze) in addition to public swimming pools with complex waterslides (Tampines, Pasir Ris, Sengkang, Jurong East, Jurong West, Choa Chu Kang).

Legoland theme park & Hello Kitty Town can be covered in half a day each, but aren't really viable together on the same day due to their opening time (10am), operating hours (closing at 6pm/7pm) &, most inconveniently, the transportation factor. If you're taking commercial coaches, you're tied to their timings (shortening your visit further) & locations (eg. Singapore Flyer for WTS Travel). If you're taking public buses, you'll have to go to Bugis or Jurong East/Boon Lay to catch the cross-border buses, then transfer again at JB Sentral or CIQ 2nd Link. If you're taking cross-border taxis, it'll cost SGD $80 (normal vehicle) or $100 (bigger vehicle) each way.

Ideally, you should stay overnight in Legoland Hotel (it has themed amenities & activities in-house to explore after the parks close), a modest mall nearby (Mall of Medini), or take a taxi to Johor Bahru after dark. There's not much nightlife around Nusajaya itself.

For Singapore, the most time-consuming attractions are the Zoo, USS, Sentosa (a whole day each); followed by GBTB/Marina Bay, River/Night Safari, Bird Park (1/2 to 3/4 day each). Chinatown, Bugis, Little India, Orchard Road, Merlion Park/Singapore River/Colonial District, & Adventure Cove require 1/3 day each. You can also combine Botanic Gardens & Kampong Glam with Orchard & Bugis respectively.
