Yotel, Destination S'pore Beach Rd or Village Hotel Bugis?

We are a family of 5 with teenagers staying for 3 nights next week. We cant decide between these 3 hotels. We're looking for a convenient location, quiet rooms - and a nice pool would be a bonus. They are around the same price for 1 double + 1 triple room. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Also we are arriving early morning on the 9th which I know is National Day. We are likely to be very tired after flight from UK but would like to, at least, see the fireworks and flypast. Which areas are likely to be most affected (and crowded) as may prefer a quieter day. Would the Gardens by the bay be a good place to visit that day and for a view in the evening - or are there any tall buildings that would be accessible for a view but not too crowded? Is the 10th likely to be affected e.g. closures or more busy than usual?

Many thanks for any help. We've never been to Singapore before and are very excited.

Village Hotel Bugis is an old hotel with a dated lobby but a good location in between Bugis, Kampong Glam and Little India. It is oossible to walk to the Civic District. At 32 sqm, the rooms are the most spacious out of the 3 hotels on your list. The entry level rooms are not refurbished. It would be better to opt for the Deluxe rooms that are refurbished. They also have interconnecting rooms. The pool is pretty large but is in the shade after noon. The banquet/function rooms (where wedding functions are often held on weekends with loud music played) are near the pool. They are changing the carpets and upgrading the elevators sometime this year. Some guests have complained about noise from noisy neighbours or the hallway in their reviews. Those staying in rooms facing the mosque may vaguely hear the sound of prayers. The service gets mixed reviews.

Yotel is very new and has 2 robot staff. Designed to resemble spaceship cabins, the 14sqm rooms try to make good use of any available space. The location is right in the heart of Orchard Road so you have tree-lined boulevards and lots of shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants. On weekends, expect lots of foot traffic.

Destination Beach Road is a few years old so falls somewhere in between the two with 19 sqm rooms. There is no porter service. It is located near Kampong Glam and the nearest MRT station is Nicoll Highway which is a couple stops from Promenade (Flyer) and Bayfront (GBTB, Marina Bay). The rooftop pool, which can be cramped at times given the number of guests, has a view of Kallang River, the Flyer and a side view of MBS. A common complaint is there are no sun shades at the pool. You may be able to see a bit of the high level fireworks since there are tall buildings in the way.

Otherwise, you can try going to Bay East Garden. Marina Bay will be crowded for sure.

10th Aug will not be much different from a normal day. It is a school holiday but not a public holiday.
