hnr Lembongan last days long

After the large tremors here and aftershocks over night things are back to normal here no damage.

A bit frustrating as WiFi has been very hit and miss over the last couple of days and we have had ploblems getting information .

We decided to go exploring today so off on the scooters,

Went to the Mangroves yesterday so different direction today.

Fist stop Mushroom Bay, sorry I cannot see anything appealing here, our stretch of beach here at Tarci is much nicer.

Next stop Devil’s Tears and surrounds.

Big swell lots of spray. Lots of tourist a couple of what looked like Chinese Grandmother trying to make a young boy maybe grandson stand on a rock right on the edge for a photograph. Thankfully he was having no part of it.

The mind boggles we have just had some very large tremors and here is someone trying to make a child stand on the edge of what could be an unstable rock cliff edge with huge wave crashing below,

Just for a photo.

Their guide and another man were yelling at them to come away luckily the child took off and was having no part of it.

Next stop Yellow Bridge and Cenigan. Turn left over the bridge and on the left is a local school.

The kids were out in the playground practicing marching with there own band marching to When The Saints Come Marching In.

Off to the Cliff Jump area, no jumping as the swells huge crashing over the Restaurant. Then on to Zippline just as a couple decided to go across the cove.

Headed back to bridge, take other road on Lembongan side. This side seems much greener.

Just before the road ends we dit a left up the hill. This might have once been a regaled road well not anymore. Very f

Rough and steep in some places. After about 15 min come across Cenigan Cliff Restaurant, high above the straights between Cenigan & Penida. Great view good place for a Bintang to take in the views.

Lunch time so went to the only Makasan Padang restaurant almost opposite Putu’s, which was closed.

Great lunch and for those that like Padang food well worth a try.

Back to Tarci for a swim and some R&R .

Went to Nusa Indah for dinner. I had Grilled Mahi Mahi which was great Wife had Crispy Duck,

I think Somebody stole the breast was only leg and ribs.

Oh well have to wait till Sanur for the Bebek.

Another couple of slight tremors overnight nobody left rooms.

Will finish here getting a bit long and with the dogy WiFi this is the second attempt to download.

Remember for those in Bali now or in the near future Tazmo has posted drop off points for donations to aid those in Lombok.

Great day Tim. Like you I prefer Jungut over mushroom bay. I cant believe the chinese need for pics...there have been a number of deaths from drowning after being swept away on the spot youre talking about and all have been chinese. Glad the kid got out of there. So sad to hear about the aftershocks ...lombok has been dessimated enough.

We have an expat friend who lives on Gili T she has 2 small villas,

Finally go through to her yesterday. Most of the cement buildings are damaged or destroyed,

Luckily hers are wood and damage is minimal.

She is not sure if she will be forced to leave. All tourists have now been evacuated to the mainland.
