Earthquake and Tsunami risk

Hi,

I am currently staying in Sanur and after the earthquake 1-2 hours ago I am really wondering if there is a risk of a tsunami. All balinese people tell me no risk, only in Lombok. Gas anybody maybe some knowledge about Tsunami risk in Sanur?

Thank you

There is a tsunami warning for east and north Bali as well as Lombok and other areas. It is predicted at half a metre. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen but you should check with hotel staff re what precautions are to be taken.

Not high tide, helps.

I'm only 50 metres away from Sanur beach.

Villa staff said they will keep me posted overnight.

Guess if l was staying close to the waterline, l wouldn’t be sleeping very comfortably. Should the water recede suddenly you will know a Tsunami was on its way. Are there hotel staff up all night keeping a check on your safety, Balirunner. Don’t take unnecessary chances.

Safe travel.

Jemmas, I’m following Mount Agung Daily Report on Facebook. Also following Twitter but that gets cluttered by lots of rumour so you have to find the official Twitter accounts in the mix.

Local news said 6.9 then after shock 4.9 in Sanur.

I noticed the difference.

A couple of ornamental things fell and broke in villa.
