Hi,

I just want to ask since we're planning to be in Georgia next month Feb. 28, and also we're planning to get married . What are the requirements since my partner is Jordanian and divorced while I'm single and Filipino citizen.

How long does it take to process the papers and documents since we are just going to stay for 6 nights .

Thank you in advance .

Hi

Congratulations first of all:)

If you want to have a civil marriage, you can do it in Georgia, here is the list of documents you will need.

1.Joint written application of persons intending to get married;

2.Identity documents of persons intending to get married;

3.In case of registration of marriage of a person aged 16 – 18, the birth certificate of a minor and a written consent of parents, consent of a guardian and document certifying his/her guardianship powers, or a court decision on the consent to marriage;

4.In case of a person’s second marriage, a document certifying the termination of previous marriage;

5. If an application is submitted by a representative of a person intending to get married, documents certifying power of representation and identity of representative.

Note: If a seeker of marriage registration is a foreign citizen, the Agency may accept a foreign citizen’s passport without Georgian translation if his/her personal data in the passport is transliterated in Latin alphabet. A document issued (certified) in a foreign country shall be submitted after being duly legalized or apostilled in accordance with a corresponding rule, and shall be enclosed with a duly notarized Georgian translation unless otherwise provided by an international treaty or agreement of Georgia. To register marriage in Georgia, a foreign citizen must submit a document evidencing the legal ground of his/her stay in Georgia.

Hi sis it’s easy . Requirements needed for marriage in Georgia is so easy .. all you need to bring is the following 1. Passport 2. Since we’re working in Qatar so they need as well the QID residence card . 3. 2 witness (wether local Georgian or Filipino or expat) 4. You need to translate all your supporting documents to Georgian language ( this thing you need to go Translation notorization company ( it’s just right across the bridge of public hall ) they will charge you maximum 20 gel for everything . please note that there’s nothing to pay in the public hall this is the place where it will be held for your marriage . Then if you want to legalize your marriage in Georgia you need a stamp from the country that you were working or better go to embassy of Philippines ( but please note that there’s no embassy of Philippines in Georgia ) the nearest country to stamp the marriage certificate is in Turkey .

Once you marry in Georgia the marriage certificate is only in Georgia (meaning married Lang kayo sa Georgia tbilisi) not as legal or international. I hope may naitulong ako sa inyo dalwa. Good luck and congratulations in advance

Good day Ms. Yonah!

Question lang po, If na legalized na po ba yung Marriage certificate (from Georgia) namin dito sa UAE, pwede na din po ba siya i send sa pinas or i file sa Philippine consulate UAE para po ma register din po sa atin?

We are planning to have our wedding in Georgia po kasi this coming November. And I am confused regarding registrations.

Thank you!
