Best method of private transport Ben Gurion to Beer Sheva?

I need a suggestion what is the best method of transport (ie: car service) from Ben Gurion airport to Beer Sheva? Something reliable and not too expensive. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Unless you are travelling with a large group, just take a taxi from the official taxi rank. You can see the cost here:

iaa.gov.il/en-US/…TaxiFareCalculator.aspx

There is no need to order any transport in advance. It would probably be more expensive, and there is no guarantee it would turn up.

Do not go with anyone who approaches you inside the airport. Go to the taxi rank immediately outside the arrivals hall, where you will be put into a taxi by the official dispatcher. And it's not customary to tip taxi drivers unless they perform some extra service such as carrying your luggage up several flights of stairs.

If you want to spend less than a taxi-then you could , depending on when you are arriving take a train. ( and I'm shocked that our transportation expert and train aficionado didn't suggest that.) I f that interests you and you are coming in when transport is available, give us a shout!

Mila asked about private car transport so I assumed that's what is wanted...

But yes, if you are willing to use public transport, we're happy to help on that. However, unlike taxis which are always available, public transport may or may not be an option for you. So when (date and time) are you arriving?

Hello, I don’t want to start a new topic just for this question. I also look for transportation from airport to Beer Sheeva but need cheapest one :) so I assume train? Is there a direct train? I arrive on 30.7. and will returning on 1.8. Thanks for helping with info.

What time of day/night are you arriving and leaving? There are no direct trains. You can take a train to Tel Aviv Hahagana and change there for a train to Beersheva.

There are a few direct buses every day from the airport to Beersheva, at 05:09 (route 469), 10:35, 12:00 (both route 354); 01:09, 02:09, 03:09 and 04:09 (all route 469).

Buses back from Beersheva: coming in a separate post because I'll be out of time to edit this.

Buses from Beersheva to Ben-Gurion Airport at 04:00, 05:30 (both route 469); 08:05, 13:50 (both route 354); 00:00, 01:00, 02:00, 03:00 (all route 469).

If you are doing this (in either direction), if the times of the direct buses don't work for you, it's much easier to go by train, changing at Hagana.

I noticed that too. "(ie: car service)". I don't know what the OP meant or where the OP is from but even if it's the USA, where English is everywhere, it seems much more than half of those who use i.e. (that is) and e.g. (for example) get them backwards, using one where the other one belongs. It's quite a phenomenon that I've been watching for probably 20 years. (If they'd just use English instead of Latin they wouldn't have this problem.)

" I'll be out of time to edit this." I've wondered about this. What are the time limits here?. One from posting to the start of editing and one to finish editing? Does the clock restart when you start to re-edit your post? Or one time limit for the whole thing?

Rick, you can make one (and only one) edit within about five minutes of posting (not starting to write the post, but hitting the "post your reply" button), and only if nobody else has posted on the same thread in the meantime.

I would have been out of time because after I posted I realized I'd forgotten to look up the times of the buses from Beersheva to the airport, and that would have taken a lot longer than five minutes. So I did a quick edit to say the rest was coming, and then wrote the rest of it as a separate post.
