We are currently on Phnom Penh and want to do our own laundry. Is there anywhere in the center we could do that?
Why do you want to do your own laundry? There are so many places who will do your laundry for you for a couple of dollars.
Most streets have a laundry service and most charge per kg washing/drying or ironing included from around $1 per kg.
As Ian said no coins in Cambodia.
My suggestion is that you pay to have them done within 1 hour return in 1 hour, don't leave and return the next day,why because some laundries don't open every day, as hundreds of tourists found out in the one day before the election and the next two days most businesses had closed up shop, not telling the tourists and many departed leaving their washing behind.Edited: 04 August 2018, 20:52
There used to be a coin laundry on St 154 a few years ago but I believe it closed down. It's so cheap in Cambodia that most people opt to get it done for them.
If you want to have your clothes washed separately from other people's then some laundries do offer this service for a slightly higher fee. Check out the options here: movetocambodia.com/city-guides/…Edited: 04 August 2018, 21:01
