Stay in a Monastery in Cambodia?

Hi,

Me and my boyfriend are looking to do a trip round Asia next year and we love the idea of staying a Buddhist Monastery for a few days to a week.

Has anyone ever done this before or have any recommendations or tips.

Thanks

This place used to have a "Monk for a Week" program - http://www.angkorbodhitree.com/. Here's a news article about it from 2013 - http://www.siemreappost.com/monk-for-a-week/. Maybe contact them and see if it's still operational or if they have other suggestions

"Monk for a week?" I read the website, it's a stretch Lenny. It sounds unlike all of the Cambodian wats I'v ever visited. India might be a more appropriate setting.

The name escapes me right now, but there's that meditation centre up in battambang that does the week-long live in courses for free, donations only.

Help me out here guys, I'm sure some of you guys know the one.

Cheers,

~ Andrew.

Hello Andrew_Ailin,

I suspect that this may be what you are looking for?

But why do people think that temples can be used like motels?

Best regards. Ian

Hello noodlegoat,

Why not contact the Dhamma Latthika (Vipassana) directly?

https:/…schlatthika

Just a suggestion.

Best regards. Ian

Lenny

just a note in passing the website got shredded not you. I doubt The Buddha would approve of such New Age pricing.

Hello again Andrew_Ailin,

Not sure why it didn't come up as a "Live" link but anyone interested can simply make a cut and paste to their own browser.

Best regards. Ian
