Family of 5 travelling

Hi All

We have recently travelled to different parts of SE Asia, but our first trip to Vietnam and next stop is Nha Trang region in mid September. The family of 5 consists of 3 boys 5 yo, 3yo and 6 months. Wanting some tips of quieter family resorts/beach, but still within 15min cab tuk tuk ride to local restaurants etc

I’ve looked online and seen the following areas but can’t judge the beaches. Also any advice on beach snorkelling, can this be done from any of the beaches in the region or do you have to go offshore or even take a tour of Marine Park area?

Also some fun cultural activities for younger kids even just a half day trip somewhere?

Thanks in advance

Not that many beach resorts actually in Nha Trang and they are pricey.Have a look at Ananmadara and Mia.

For the kids you can take them to Vinpearl adventure and water-park, mud baths, Yang bay, Monkey island. There is also a kiddies park on the main beach called central park. You can snorkel of the beach but not much to see. Best to go out to the marine park on a day trip.

Hi,

I have two suggestions for resorts that you could stay at. The first is Ana Mandara; this is in central Nha Trang and you will be close to local markets and restaurants. The second is Mia Resort, and this is further south. This is likely to be a quiter resort although you will have a longer ride to get back into town.

Also, snorkelling can be done off shore, around Hon Mot or Hon Mun island. On the way back you can stop along the coast of Vinh Nguyen and there is a fishing village there where you can take the boys fishing. You can also take the boys to the VinPearl waterpark on the way back from these islands.

If you stay at Mia Resort you will have to take a taxi into town about 25 minutes and then take the boat from town out to the islands, whereas if you stay at Ana Mandara you can save yourself this trip.

Cheers.

You should take a cultural river cruise. It's smooth . It's good for children
