Not really. But the Vietnamese youngsters like to play soccer at the beach every morning and afternoon/evening. Bare feet only, of course. And morning means 4:30-6:30 before school.

If your son needs to burn off some energy, the larger hotels have a gym and swimming pool.

If your son loves soccer that much, bring a Soccor ball from NZ and at the end of your holiday give it to the kids you have been playing with in appreciation of the good time you had. There's absolutely no way they could afford a good soccerball if they're street kids.

I have seen them get great enjoyment from kicking a Jandal around in my street so think what it will mean to them if you give them a Kiwi Ball.

Dont tell them your plan just give it to them at the end of your stay.

Warm regards Dirty Pierre and Go MooLoo!

Hotel does not support beach activities like soccer and volleyball but you can join with the Vietnamese. They sure will be happy to play with you. Some beach resort or hotel do have extra such as such as Jet-ski or parachuting.

I buy soccer balls frequently in Nha Trang and give them to boys of friends.

That's money well spent Jim.

Teaches them skills and team work and gets them out of internet game rooms.

Vietnamese children/youngster does not know much about Rugby so perhaps someone from England or Australia or New Zealand can show them.

A good soccer ball costs only VND200,000. The boy who receives gets to be the hero among his peers.

Keeping a school class' boys in soccer balls purchased locally is not that expensive, about a million every three months. They do take a beating (the balls) by being played with on concrete as well.

Normally, for Vietnamese Children, when they play soccer on the street (bare feet on the concrete) they tend to use plastic soccer ball as it's cheaper than the leather soccer ball. They can make the plastic ball harder and heavier by putting 1 inside the other.
