Hop On - Hop Off Bus in Vietnam

My friend and I have two weeks in Vietnam in November. We are planning a few days in Sapa /Hanoi etc then fly down to Hue and then plan to do the Hop On - Hop Off Bus down the rest of the way to HCM. Has anyone travelled on the bus and is it reliable, on time, and ok ??

Over there they call open bus.

Research more in forums to find out reliable bus companies. A friend I know took Sinh's bus and likes it. I haven't gone with them. There’s a conflict who the real Sinh is but I think the good one is having address at 246 De Tham Street, HCMC www.sinhcafevn.com

I took public buses last year. I had only 10 days and wanted to cover the whole country, so I took whatever bus I saw. Some were good but some put so many people inside plus bulk goods. Most of them were on time because they ran like hell :-)

That's the reason you should take high quality buses only.

There are few bus open bus operators and new operator with better buses has also join in.

(1)trekking travel

(3)An phu

(4)Sinh travel

There are also sleeper bus available

There are fixed hop on/off destination .Inform then in advance your next

hop on destination cos the bus might be fulled.

The bus are fairly reliable but not on time.

Go for newer buses but all bus's driver are very itchy with the 'HONK"blaring away all along the way
