Has anyone had any experience flying with Scoot to Vietnam from Melbourne ? Is this airline any good or not ?
We have booked their cheap flights from Australia today.
Let's hope we don't have the problems the travellers on this link noted. Seems an airline would have trouble staying fu criminal if they were continually that bad. Thank God they were isolated incidents from all over the world flights.
Will let you know our experiences after our flights.
Don't be too concerned about poor reviews. People tend to be more negative than positive.
Bring a good book, no seatback movies on Scoot.
We have flown Scoot and Air Asia from Gold Coast many many times and never had an issue with either.
We do prefer Scoot as I prefer Sinagpore airport to KL airport. We often do AA going and Scoot coming back as we like e night flight home and AA don't do it any more to Gold Coast...
Scoot business is worth every cent...and has the new Dreamliner planes. I think we purchased a wifi thing to watch movies on our iPads. .Edited: 05 August 2018, 05:50
We used to fly scoot all the time. Have never had any issues. But since moving to Mackay have had to use alternative airlines.I too would recommend Scoot over Air Asia. From memory we used to pay 10aud for WiFi thing.
Thank you for your feedback.
Great!! That has made hubby happier! Thank you ;)
We flew Scoot from Bangkok to Sydney via Singapore (2hr layover with plane change). Got confusing emails from them closer to departure about prebooked services on the flights. No internet check in available. Had to be at airport. Also told Singapore to Sydney leg to be on chartered Singapore Airlines flight, with once again confusing emails about services. In the end the BKK to Singapore leg was on a small cramped jet. Luckily only 2,5hrs, but flight take off was almost an hour delayed due to delayed arrival. When we got to Singapore Scoot provided bare minimum details to checkin for next leg (luckily our luggage was checked thru at BKK to Syd). We had to run from one side of massive Changi airport to the other and luckily found the counter. The scoot official there expressed surprise at our turning up and asked when our plane landed. She issued our tickets but told us to hurry as plane was boarding already. We made it on to a Singapore Airlines Dreamliner but they turned off all electricity except minimum to serve snacks. You couldn't even turn on a reading light! Still seats were comfortable, so slept. Arrived on time to Syd but with only 3 of our 4 bags at carousel. Had to lodge lost property claim at airport. Bag arrived via courier a day or 2 later. We had 6 air legs on our IndoChina trip with Vietnam Airlines (3), Bangkok Air (2) and Scoot (1). All were great except Scoot.
