Thailand in April 2018. Thoughts?

Basically I have an opportunity to fly to Bangkok the 4th of April and back a week later.

Weatherwise; is it a good idea to go there in April?

Which places would be a must-see that would not be too affected by the monsoon? (no beaches or swimming things).

I'm mostly thinking about scorching heat. Below 25°C is fine by me :)

In early April the monsoon will not yet have arrived.

The daytime maximum temperatures will be nearer 35c., possibly a tad higher. At nighttime they are unlikely to fall below 25c.

There are no beaches in Bangkok.

It is hot and dry, hot as in mid 30s.

My first thought is to warn you that it will be blazing hot. 25 degrees and below is not going to happen. You might be a lot more comfortable to choose a destination with a more temperate climate.
