10 week Budget Trip to India

Planning on a budget trip around India starting with a 2 week organised hike from Kathmandu to the Everest Base Camp.

Planning on traveling down South afterwards via public transport and using backpackers as accommodation. Is anyone able to give advise on how much I should be budgeting for food/ transport/ accommodation per day? Going from December to mid Feb

For trekking think about US$ 30 approximately / the times means without bars and beverage bills / per day for your foods plus accommodation. Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu flight costs US$ 276, guide US$ 25 - 30 per day, porter US$ 12 - 15 per day, Everest National Park Trekking Permit US$ 40 approx, Trekkers Information Management System Permit [TIMS] US$ 20 if you arrange the trip on your own.

All the best!
