Malaysia airline nepalese staff thieves

Hi all,

I travelled by Malaysia airlines from sydney for a family gathering and when i collected my luggage bag was opened and i lost more than 1 kg in electronics and money.

I also wrote to mr Dhalal and was given the run around. I urge you to not fly malaysia airline. Has this happened to you? What was your outcome. Did you get any money back.

Hi Ransom

Sorry this has happened to you and I hope you get a resolution.

For thr future, I would always keep valuable in the cabin bag.

PS one way to make theft more difficult is to use rucksack cover. I use a quite thick and robust one that I'm sure is effective against opportunist thieves - it can be padlocked so makes it more difficult to pilfer than the ones next to it. It prevents damage to the pack too whether on the conveyor belts or by handlers picking it up by a pocket, for example. It then serves to store excess gear at the hotel while trekking. It's one of these:

Hi

I've had my fair share of misadventures with Malaysian Airlines but never had anything stolen from me. As scoodly already wrote keep your valuables in your hand luggage and if you have a backpack put a cover over it as theft protection and as a sacrificial layer.

There is also luggage plastic wrap services available at Aussie airports which will make it difficult to open.

Money should never be kept in checked in luggage.

Maybe also try emailing the airlines head office.

things could have been removed anywhere and may not be airline staff

putting money and valuables in checked luggage is asking for it to be taken

electronics with batteries should not be checked

very poor decision making by the OP
