hi i m travelling to kathmandu on i march 2018. is indian currency used there.can we take all enomination notes there
Indian currency can be used in Nepal. Some places in KTM will accept but not all. As I understand it, you can take any denomination note into Nepal including the new 500s and 2000s though I have not seen any official notification of this. The limit is 25000 INR per person.
Why not convert INR to NPR which is easily done at the official exchange rate of 1 INR to 1.6 NPR? After all the NPR is the official currency of the country.
