Hi Willem

There is a suspension bridge at Chobar gorge, can't think of any others in the valley. I don't know about Kodari but it's a long way to go...

The location of the suspension bridge? It's close to the arched road bridge, a short walk away.

I don't know precisely, but the road to Kodari follows the large Bhote Kosi river, so I think there are suspension bridges.

There are also long suspension bridges just next to the main KTM Pokhara road.

Although there is an incredibly high suspension bridge at The Last Resort where there are Bungee Jumps, which is in the road towards Kodari, I can’t think of any other reason that anyone would go to Kodari just to visit, it’s just another unattractive little roadside border town.

There are a lot of nicer places a lot closer to Kathmandu that offer a lot more

Good Luck and Happy Safe Travels

Thx guys ,

I know that Kodari is not much of a place , not shure if i will make it all the way , or go as far as The last Resort all depending on my time left .

I'm not sure if these places have been mentioned before...

Kirtipur - has small historic centre and views over the valley.

Sankhu and nearby Bajra Yogini - S has lots of temples and the BY is owrth a visit. It's possible to hike to Nagarkot from there.

Pharping - monastaries, caves and hiking opportunities e.g. to Chamapdevi.

Day hikes to Shivapuri and Pulchowki. P is the highest point on the valley rim, accessible from Godawari in a long day but it's possible to take a jeep further up the track. S is the second highest and the route from Budhanilkantha passes nagi Gompa (nunnery), various shrines to Shiva and the source of the Bagmati. Abn excellent day hike though long - the yogi at the top might sell you tea. A shorter hike can be doen from the car park at the national park entrance.

Day hike from Thankot to Chandragiri using the cable car one or both ways.

If you hike from Khopasi to Balthali, on the edge of the valley, you cross a fairly high suspension bridge just out of Khopasi.

If you are interested in suspension bridges

You can visit Kushma (home to three tallest suspension bridge of Nepal also longest too ) Two hours journey from Pokhara

And also there is construction going on for world's second highest bungee
