Marriage Certificate in Ghana

I need to obtain my marriage certificate from the registrar general in Ghana. I am not sure how to go about it as I am not Ghanaian. I am British, my "husband" is Ghanaian but will not let me have the marriage certificate etc in order to get a divorce.

PLEASE HELP!!

MANY THANKS

Babs,

Here is a link to the Registrar General's office, and the contact information. While email is usually ignored, a phone call might get you a helpful friendly voice.

Good luck.

Hi Barbz,

I contacted them and they were very helpful. I did not think I will even get through, but I did.

they said they will have the certificate ready this week and that I should send someone to collect on my behalf. It will be DHL'd over by a friend from church and will receive hopefully next week.

Thank you so much for all your help.....

Take care,

B
