Cooks Club, Kotu

Hi, Thomas cook are advertising on their website "Cooks Club" in Kotu. It would appear that it is the new Sunprime Tamala next to Kunta Kinte and is aimed at "a new generation of travellers". If it appeals to you then prices start from £2,200 for two people for two weeks B&B from the beginning of December. Strangely there are no pictures of it, could that be because it is not finished yet? According to their website there are only 8 rooms left, maybe that is all they expect to have finished by the opening date.

Well we were there in Kotu the last 2 weeks of June and went to have a look and although there were a lot of men working on it,it was still basically a concrete shell with no windows, doors etc so the photos are either artist's impression of another in the group.

Cook's club was aimed at mainly 18-30's.but gambia might be aimed at 50 - 90's.cause that's the average age that seems to go to gambia.

Cooks club are still doing 18-30's but not for Gambia. Search the following and you will get NIL points for Gambia for the 18-30 criteria. Plenty of other bookings available.

We were in a Thomas Cook shop last week and they no longer do 18/30 clubs but have changed the name to Cooks Club and the new one is The Sunprime Tamala by Kunta Kinte bungalows whether it will fill up with 18-30s we will have to wait and see but the rep said that those are now the people they were aiming at as they have the money.

So Thomas Cook think 18-30's have the money??

At that age, they are either still studying, or saving for a 50 grand house deposit . . .

Tigers - Post 5 - is correct; it is the so-called 'Grey Pound' that goes to Gambia.

The resort details only say 'no under 16's'. That's all.

So will appeal to grey power and anyone else preferring not to be disturbed. There are some UK Sunday eateries where we've wished that could apply!
