Is it better to book tour when you are in Marrakesh or book in advance?
When you are there. You won't have any problems with availability, and you'll will get a better idea of what you might want to do after a day or two there - especially if you talk with others at your hotel. Weather is also a factor, something it's hard to predict in advance...
Thank you for your help, I have contacted few tour company but I wasn't comfortable booking in advance as I will be travelling a 8 & 10 year old. I am not sure what would best, as you said weather might a factor too. Wanted to experience the camel ride and dessert camp but again because of the kids I have to make sure that this will be a good idea.
You're welcome. I'd add that travelling with kids, it's even less advisable to book in advance. If you are staying in the one of the kid-friendly all-inclusive hotels, you'll get plenty of options and advice there. You can also shop around at the many places selling tours in town, but sometimes it's easier to organise through the hotel and can even work out cheaper after factoring in time, taxis to town, etc.
Have fun, whatever you choose!
Hello. May I ask when are you heading to Marrakesh? If possible, would you mind letting me know which company did you go with and how was your experience? I am afraid of not booking in advance, but seems like people think it is okay to go there and book in person. Would appreciate your follow up. Thanks!
Hi, we are heading there on the 20th of this month. I've been doing a lot of digging around on excursions and it seems that its a good idea to book it when you are there, in that way you don't have the worry of whether the driver will come to pick you up from your hotel or not. I've been reading lot of reviews where people book their trip in advance and then no one turns up or finding out the price is lot cheaper there. so I am leaving it for later, I am not taking any chance since I have 2 kids with me, don't want any complication on my holiday. I will post a review once we are back.
