25 quetzals each way. Locals pay less.

The lanchas leave about every 30 minutes (or when full). Some go directly across the lake and others follow the shore stopping at any and every town or dock were someone flags them down. The cost is the same. Ask for "San Pedro (or Pana) directo" when you are at the dock and someone will point you in the right direction. Don't trust anyone away from the dock, especially in Pana, who tells you that the next public boat isn't for 3 hours (and directs you to a private boat), or someone who wants you to pay before you get to the boat.

Most of the time the captain collects the fare when you get off. Sometimes in San Pedro they ask you to pay before you get on.

The hours are from 6:30 a.m. to about 5:30 p.m.

Good info above. I'd add that there are a few piers at that Pana dock, and the one for the direct boats to San Pedro will be on your left.
