Rental cars near Arches National Park

Hi, we would like to rent an 8 passenger car from Salt Lake City airport and drop off somewhere along the way to Arches National Park, since we cannot find any companies that are allowing us to do a one way rental of a big car to Moab/Arches. We would like to switch and get 2 sedans at that point. Where is a good place to stop that has more accessible rental car locations?

There are very limited options for car rentals between SLC and Moab. You might check in Provo or Spanish Fork, Utah about an hour from SLC or in the town of Price, Utah, about half way. Those are your options.

But I have to ask, why don't you just pick up two cars in SLC instead of wasting time making the switch further down the road? Are you flying out of Moab?

Hi, we just wanted to be together, but if it is difficult, we will probably just do 2 cars. We are flying out of Moab, but we saw that the Moab rental car places also have very restricted timings. Any recommendations?

Afaik there is only the one rental office in Moab area.

Have you thought about using a shuttle from SLC? https:/…moab-shuttle-service

I don't know what you mean by restricted timings. Do you mean limited hours of when rental car pla es are open? Moab is a small airport and a small rental car market. The town of Moab is also remote. Flying out of Moab means you will have to work out returning the cars within the hours available unless there's a drop box for the keys when returning outside of business hours.
