cheap place to stay in Estes Park

I have been searching for a cheap place to stay here in early June next year. I have found a place called Manor RV park and motel that is in my price range. I can not find anything in TripAdvisor about this place. Has anyone stayed here? Is there anyplace to stay in Estes Park under $75.00 per night? I do not want to camp but this place said it had a motel.

I would recommend you check out VRBO as well. We just stayed at VRBO 130971 and it was a wonderful experience. That one is not in your budget, but perhaps there are some out there that are. Plus, if you stay in a home rather than a motel, you can off set your food expenses by cooking at home.

What are your needs as far as how many you need to sleep etc?

I don't have anything to do while I wait for my RMNP vacation photos to upload so I did a little checking. Again, I don't know how many you need to sleep, or how long your stay will be, and $75 is low for Estes Park, but in addition to the VRBO above, check on these:

Colorado Cottages has a small unit with a kitchenette for $85/night (http://www.colocottages.com/index.html)

National Parks Retreats has a "motel suite" for $80/night for 3+ nights (http://www.nationalparkretreats.com/)

Yeah, almost everything in Estes is more expensive than $75/night in June, which is considered high season by most hoteliers. I hope you can expand your budget just a wee bit to take advantage of the incredible location and see RMNP!

We stayed two nights at the Saddle and Surrey Motel and loved it! It gets great reviews on Tripadvisor. I posted our review with lots of pictures if you want to check it out. For a king room I paid the AAA rate which was $80. Perhaps the rates might be a little less in early June. The owners are very nice and I made the reservation over the phone.

I just noticed they are now the #2 ranked hotel in Estes Park. Good for the Saddle and Surrey, they deserve it.

I plan to stay for a week and it will likely be just the 2 of us. Thanks for the information. I will check it out. I have looked for lodging in Loveland. Is this a long drive to get up into Estes Park? I've been to Estes Park about 5 years ago but we were pulling a horse trailer then and if I remember right it took us a long time to get there. But it was beautiful to drive there.

What is wrong with Loveland?

There is nothing wrong with Loveland. It is a nice town, but if you are wanting to enjoy Estes Park, Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park or Roosevelt National Forest, Loveland is too far / too inconvenient to drive there every day.

It is a bit deceiving to look at it on the map. The distance from Estes Park to Loveland is only about 30 miles. But it will take an hour to drive it. We just did this last week. We had a house on High Drive near the Beaver Creek entrance to RMNP in Estes Park. We took the kids one day to Cheyenne, WY. It took us just a tad over an hour just to get to Loveland.

Estes Park and the surrounding areas have so much to offer. Staying in Estes Park would be so much better. A VRBO would be great because you could cook and save so much money on food. Estes Park restaurants are expensive... I think that and I live near the DC metro area where everything is expensive. Groceries are high in Estes Park too, but still cheaper than a restaurant. We spent roughly $325 on groceries for a family of 5 for 10 days. We ate out for lunch and dinner a few times and of course ate Elkhorn Ave sweets!
