Bratislava stop over or Budapest

I will be in Budapest for 3.5 days and then on the next day have my flight back home from Vienna which leaves @10.30pm. This leaves me with 2 options:

1) Spend time in Budapest till about 3pm and take the bus directly to Vienna airport.

2) Leave early and spend half a day in Bratislava and take the bus from there to Vienna airport.

What option would you suggest?

After seeing Budapest , Bratislava was a real let down.

Stay in Budapest.

If you're spending 3.5 days here, the last one is okay for Bratislava.

Just don't expect wonders, but it's a nice city. Have bryndzové halusky for a meal with a glass of Zlaty Bazant!

Hello Mikeshdattani ,

We are just back from Central Europe tour .

We did Bratislava as one day return from Vienna and then 3.5 days in Budapest .

If you can cover everything in Budapest in 3 ( as we could ) can do 0.5 Bratislava . Good City to be in .Not happening as Budapest .But can surely add a country on your travel list .Take the Reiojet buses very good and very competitive. The coaches and service are excellent. Vienna airport is half way from Bratislava and will drop you at the airport from Bratislava about 30/40 minutes and need not have to enter Vienna City .While from Budapest you will have to enter Vienna City and then to airport .So a break at Bratislava is better and can see a new place.
