Drive from Noosa to Hervey Bay?

Hi-Just wanting to know how long the drive would take from Noosa (Hastings St) to Hervey Bay to see the whales?

allow about 3 hours, the whalewatching season goes from mid july to early november, tours operate twice daily, cheers Ella

As Ella mentioned allow 3 hrs as the traffic can be sometimes difficult.

"Distances and estimated travel time between major centres on the Sunshine ... Noosa - Hervey Bay (Fraser Island Ferry): 183.5 kilometres (about 2 hours) ..."

you can also now do whale watching from mooloolaba on the steve irwin/australia zoo boat. however given a choice i would go from hervey bay as the waters are so calm because of fraser island
