MONA pavilions

Has anyone stayed at the MONA pavilions?

We would like to spend a night there for my art enthusiast son but Is it really worth that much more than some of the lovely Sullivans Cove apartments?

We are travelling outside school holidays so we are not planning on pre-booking our accommodation. Has anyone ever heard of the Pavilions offering last minute deals?

I personally think that you would find something around Sullivan's Cove more interesting. there's a much greater variety of eating choices and other things to see and do in the city. There are probably a dozen art galleries around salamanca and within easy walking distance in the nearby suburbs. The Art Gallery and State Library' Allport collections are also worthwhile.

MONA pavillions is on Wotif, so you could be lucky: www.wotif.com/hotels/mona-pavilions.html

It is usually worthwhile to book accommodation in Hobart, especially on weekends.

Thank you for the links Luigi.

We are definitely planning on spending 2-3 nights at Sullivan's Cove. I was just toying with the idea of spending our last night at MONA Pavilions. Then I saw how lovely some of the Sullivan's Cove apartments are and wondered if we might be disappointed in the Pavilions after being at Sullivan's Cove.

Planning a holiday is so much fun but oh so fraught with indecision!
