Anyone ever stop for lunch @ Mount Juliet, Thomastown?

Part of my family comes from Thomastown, back in the 1850's. We drove onto the grounds back about ten years ago, but didn't stop. We are thinking about running down for lunch from Dublin. We drove past on that great new super highway last year, but didn't stop.

Just saw today that the restaurant at Mount Juliet has been awarded a Michelin star, so it must be good.

I spent two nights there in April for my daughter's wedding and adored the place. There are two restaurants ; the Lady Helen in the main house and Kendal's in the clubhouse.

The latter serves lunch. The food is superb, the service impeccable and the views are gorgeous

It's the Lady Helen that has been awarded the star.
