Breakfast in Malahide

Hi. I am in a party of 13 adults that will be in Malahide on 19th May. We arrive about 9am, and was wondering if anyone knows anywhere we could get breakfast.

depending on what you want, there are a number of places in the main street. there is also the grand hotel, but a nice place for a light breakfast is along the coast road just past the grand hotel. it is called "food fare". excellent food, nice location and not full in early morning. of course there is also the avoca shop beside malahide castle. a bit pricey and a little more difficult to get to.

Nakagoli is local so will have the best options in terms of what's open. With that many people it may be an idea to book so that the premises can be expecting your group. Avoca mentioned above is lovely but doesn't open till half nine.

nah. there is no where so busy at 9am that you would have to book!. but it really depends on how the group is travelling. no parking really available in centre of malahide, but you can park in the carpark by the railway bridge. whereas the coast road cafe and the grand hotel would have no problem.

i had not realised that avoca did not open until 9.30, but i have been there earlier (not for breakfast though) and the place has been open. there is parking there too, but you need to look out for the official castle entrance which is not in malahide itself. but you could park in the carpark beside the bridge and walk a small bit to work up an apetite.

Really with that number I would be inclined to book - not in terms of not getting seats just with the chance that a business wouldn't be able to cope with such a large group so early - service/cooking etc...handy to know in advance, no harm!

Having spent many years in the food business a restaurant would almost certainly like to be advised ahead of time of a group of this size.
